A Heart Break

🐾 Our fur family 🐾

Recently we had to say goodbye to our beloved 17 year old cat, Coco.

This type and level of pain was something I had not experienced before πŸ’”

She brought so much love and joy to our lives there are simply not enough words to describe it.

Coco was a wise soul, she was always looking out for us.

She was the smallest being in our home, nothing but a tiny ball of fluff but she was fearless. If any cats or dogs dared to trespass onto our patio she was right there front and centre and protecting her little sister (who is actually double the size of her but a year younger πŸ˜…)

She had a couple of health scares over the years but she did not complain or make a fuss...she always took care of it in her own feline terms. It can be difficult for cat parents to notice a decline in health as these amazing beings are such naturals at hidding their struggles.

She was by my side in sickness and in health. Certainly the best companion I could have and a real inspiration.

So when she decided that she had enough of her experienced on earth, it left us totally devastated πŸ’”

The sudden emptiness was palpable, we found ourselves questioning how the smallest being left such a void.

This in turn led me down the path of energy... we are all energy... everything is energy! So I simply compared it with having a lamp with 4 light bulbs (4 of us in our home). You get so used to that level of brightness that if a light bulb goes you notice it straight away!

And this is how we found ourselves, deeply sad in a less bright place 😒 πŸ’” πŸ’‘

We had to stay strong and turn our focus to our other fur baby Tiggy who, sadly we feel, is slowly 'packing her bags' to join her sister. So we are making sure she has the best life experience we can possibly give her until she decides to leave.

What really hit me when Coco departed was just how quickly things can happen and when we go, we simply go... we literally do not take anything with us other than the experiences we had on this planet. Everything else gets left behind.

And one thing that Coco definitely left behind was a huge paw print in our hearts πŸΎπŸ’™

Our gorgeous girl will be forever missed but also always celebrated for all she meant to us 🩡
